For those of us who grew up in the game, this is called the Evangelical Parent/Teacher Panic Loop
What I'm finding interesting is that the RIght's main problem -- an instinct to see difference as danger (neurologically prompted or not) -- and their compensatory instinct -- an authoritarian need to define and control everything around them -- are now on a speed run to incoherence.
