Top cooking tip: Never try a new recipe when you're hungry.

I figured that one out all by my selfness.

"You can take away everything else, but if you start taking away our intelligence, our selfness -- that's the horrifying part of what's happening [with A.I.]."

a lot of well-meaning advice goes like, "don't chase trends, write about your weird obsessions," but does one really choose to write about one's obsessions? do they not fractally spiral from one's selfness? if you choose it, is it really an obsession?

1. Achieve mastery over biological self
2. Make self edible and delicious while reducing Selfness
3. No-self eats the no-self, no suffering attaches

"My mother drove me along roads that you can’t ink into paper. She unfurled them. I was fifteen and she was forty-nine, or maybe fifteen, or maybe six. The boundaries of her selfness twitched and tangled there"

A character in a novel connects with the reader of the novel by sharing things in common. The character connects through mishaps and flaws that the reader understands and empathizes with. You are creating posts today and pitching YOUR SELFNESS. Be good. #writingcommunity #brand #booksky

All loss and gain, pleasure and pain arise because we identify so closely with this vague feeling of selfness that we have.

We are so emotionally involved with and attached to this self that we take it for granted.

"lyn do you do this" no. chat is what i jokingly call the roiling akira mass of undifferentiated consciousness that sometimes drops sentences and pictures and selfness into my mind like a cat might lovingly place a headless bloody songbird in your lap. its different

There would be rifts in these precepts between societies. Groups that do not create this legal distinction would be considered barbaric and superstitious - belief in some kind of Selfness that cannot be measured but somehow is transferable.

Filled my #WalkToWork with things my mum would have loved, would have pointed out to me with delight, whether in her full lifelong selfness or even as dementia took away her depth. A coincidental series of reminders of the dementia days came in early this morning, a heavy start.

I honestly believe that having a post go viral recreates one of the most devastating aspects of psychosis. There's an experience in psychosis where people perceive others as always watching them, judging them etc, and it just completely annihilates their ability to hold their selfness together.
who the fuck WANTS their posts to go viral, have you ever had that actually happen? it's like getting a winning pull on a slot machine if wasps started pouring out the bottom instead of quarters

Add to this, a guy who depended on his great physical talent, great coaches and teammates and may never have been able to lead anything or anybody b/c of his narcissism, selfness and ego.

Pluribus is a lovely essay on paradox. It highlights the crushing loneliness of disconnection, and the oppressive hell of a pure union—the idea that consciousness seems to arise from the paradox between selfness and wholeness—mutual arising and whatnot. Also, who doesn't love a tsundere main?
