I don’t usually use this kind of language, but this is SO DUMB. If didn’t happen. No one forced ppl to risk COVID infection by protesting after the video of Floyd’s murder was released. No one needed to say “you must protest!” People had a human, empathetic reaction. That’s what made it so powerful.
As usual TCW's, uh, argument rests on anecdotes & a refusal to think historically/materially. The method is to hitch SERIOUS SOUNDING words 'n' phrases—"massive squandering of institutional authority"—to insinuations about "the left" & to media flotsam (“a chyron that said Fiery, Peaceful Protests”)
