カメラで遊び始めたのは銀塩の頃なのだけど、以前の引っ越しのどさくさでネガも写真も紛失。デジカメで撮ったのも古いの(SmartMediaの時代の)はPCごと死んでしまってるので残ってるもので一番古い奴を。

カメラで遊び始めたのは銀塩の頃なのだけど、以前の引っ越しのどさくさでネガも写真も紛失。デジカメで撮ったのも古いの(SmartMediaの時代の)はPCごと死んでしまってるので残ってるもので一番古い奴を。

The SmartMedia cards are translucent with the chip in the middle and are loaded into the right side of the AM3 cartridge. Like GBA Video from the US, these mostly feature episodes of shows aimed at kids like Pokémon, Shin-Chan, and Detective Conan.

Because I'm getting "Why???" questions.
In 1997 there was no USB.
To take pictures on the go and view them on your laptop you'd have to get a serial SmartMedia card reader that would require external power and a serial cable. Plus it would have very slow transfer speeds.

To post the photo to Bluesky, I first transferred it to my 1990s IBM Thinkpad, then to floppy disk and then used a USB floppy disk on my modern PC to access it.

First time running into Mario no Photopi! I don't know what I imagined when I heard there's a N64 cartridge with slots for inserting SmartMedia cards (so you can edit your vacation pics with Mario clipart) but it wasn't this. Emus HATE this game. $325! (so far) www.fromjapan.co.jp/japan/en/auc...

Unfortunately, with this kind of old flash memory card, they can get damaged or corrupted easily. The Shin-Chan card I have only displays this error screen.
