It's a miracle some of the most popular sourcemods even got to be on Steam in the first place it seems.

wrote some kinda nasty code but got sourcemods working in l4d1, partially
only real issue now is that the addons folder and addonlist dont properly load and sm plugins are Stupid and only want to load from 'left4dead'
Very Pleased, for the most part.

even dev maps take like a minute to load into
the particle editor's material browser scans the material list at the rate of just fucking 100s per second which is so dire when there's tends of thousands of materials in the mod

I’ve seen both scenarios but the whole vendetta against sourcemods developers is so odd. Some select few would have a vendetta that last for years and as a result they do the most childish things ever as revenge. Like someone has to move on and do something better with their time.

One reason I don't play TF2 or any sourcemods for it is because there are so many obnoxious people who can't just ignore a spray and get all argumentive when they accuse your spray of being AI because they've done nothing but watch AI Youtube Shorts and think everything is AI

To be fair, TF2 sourcemodding is pretty young. I’m sure eventually more interesting mods would be released, however that will take a lot of time considering how difficult the sdk is and sourcemods is quite niche nowadays. So for now we’re getting the more boring and obvious mods.

In conclusion: People are going to play this for 5 minutes, realize there's less content than live, then go back to live.
People need to stop doing sourcemods like this and actually do unique shit like Lambda Fortress or OF, because TF2c already pretty much covers the ground for “TF2 but”

Adding new sourcemods completely fucks up every other sourcemod btw. Shuffles banne art around, I keep finding them hidden for some reason. It's effed up
