It is a reskinned "Call of Cthulhu/BRP" set in a homebrewed shiny optimistic pulp setting I developed. I just call it "SPACEFUTURE!"
These minis themselves are mostly from Hydra Miniatures, for their Retro Raygun game.

Realistically I don't think that's possible, even for contemporary thrillers set on Earth; it's only completely intuitive if it's set in a part of Earth the reader is closely familiar with. It's sometimes easier to parse a spacefuture written by someone from the same IRL culture than a contemporary

Yeah, squad-level heavy weapons are great *on paper* in the sci-fi spacefuture.
I'm sure I don't need to tell you the problem with a weapon system that requires you to stand upright to use 😏. I feel like a smartgun operator's life expectancy wouldn't be very long for anyone who can shoot back.
