As a person that frequents the spiderID sub, I'll say that Google AI is near worthless for spider identifications. The only thing Google is good for, is scrolling over to the similar images tab and looking for one that is very close. Human image recognition is still better than AI by a long shot.

I think this is a crab spider? Likely a goldenrod crab spider (Misumena vatia) - these don’t build webs but ambush prey on flowers etc. They can even change color to match their surroundings! Completely harmless & great for controlling flying pests. #spiderid

Soo, who might this be? It doesn't really look like the Scotophaeus or Oonops I'm used to seeing here (well, Oonops very rarely), and I can't even really come up with a family. About 1cm, central/western Germany. @teafrancis.bsky.social #InvertID #SpiderID

A spood on my car! I THINK it's a juvenile Net Casting Spider, as the leg position is correct (Not a Orb weaver or a Argiope sp.)
But since it's belly up, I can't see the back to confirm. It's a boy! Though photos may not be clear enough.

Maybe not? But this thing is BIG and it's FAST. I'm kinda scared of it and I am NOT usually scared of spiders holy fuck what is this thing? It's just about Huntsman size but not the right shape.
