The O-Trains Eastern extension to Orleans is nearing completion, and some final major milestones are now being reached. In this video, we captured some of the train testing that took place over the weekend of July 26-27, 2025, as part of the integration testing.

This is the same discussion we’ve had at home. When we moved to Ottawa, I assumed we’d use transit for so much.. even bought house close to Stage2LRT. Daughter moving to university without ever using LRT stop so close to home. Drove her to school every morning for 2.5 years. Such a waste!

Poor signage, poor pylon placement, poor belief in signs, poor memories … the bus driver pulled a U-turn just like many other motorists at westbound Kichi Zibi Mikan and Woodroffe. LOCAL ACCESS ONLY! #ottawa @octranspo.com #stage2lrt @en.ottawa.ca
Bus across 2 lanes of traffic to turn left due to not following detour. Cars in line behind to also ignore the detour. Pylons on the road - moved to allow greater access to a road that is closed except to LOCAL TRAFFIC. Traffic sign with unreadable and inaccurate information on the grass. Orange text reads: Arriw is very confusing. Too hard to read “Local Traffic”. Black text reads “Optional Stop Sign” … because many cars fail to stop for it. Stop sign on right side of photo, road in centre.

Thank you for checking about Woodroffe closure signage last week. Apparently the “approved plan” to not advertise a local access only point has changed since Fri 3:30PM. Shame on @en.ottawa.ca , @octranspo.com #Stage2LRT. Dangerous detour changes.
