Lately I've been making quite a few plant pots, meant to live outdoors. They're a lot thicker than what I'm used to throwing, and I'm quite enjoying it.

As always, Laboon was there to help capture these pictures. 🐈

I have a dedicated firing program just for this clay, because I love it too much to stop using it.

My very first pot! Funny how the craft is called pottery, yet I hadn't actually made a single pot before this one. Only cups, vases, plates...

This is my favorite clay and glaze combo right now, and one of the few designs I'm genuinely happy with, as some of you may already know.

The light chamotte in this clay gives it a texture on the exterior that I really love.

Bowls and tea bowls. Now it’s a race to see what can get made and rush dried and fired before NCECA

Here's a sweet little trio of bud vases I fired recently. I love how vibrant the glazes look on these guys. Perfect thickness of glaze. 👌

Here are a couple of the different stages in my carving process. All of my patterns are carved by hand in to the surface of the clay.

Can't remember if I posted this one. Nevermind either way - reposts are fine.

I feel awkward when using hashtags but perhaps it gets better if I do it.

I think this one's finished. (Still needs filt underneath, but that wont be visible anyway.)

I have quite a lot of small pearls at this point. Should really be using them! (Though they are kinda nice in a pile like that not gonna lie)

Here they are, finished! (Together with an older one with a leather cord in it)
I have one more in the same style - the first one I made - but I was moving around a lot of them and didn't know where it was when I took photos yesterday evening.

The glaze on the fins worked so well!!

Amaco... Arctic Blue? I think. With some overlap with "Sky" on the body. The fish was first washed with blue engobe to make the details more visible.

These were tests, first and foremost. To see how the glaze would work together with the textures/patterns. I have since these photos done a bit more with both of them, and more work is needed, but I like the texture. At least of the blue one. It's a bit mesmerizing.

Recently finished clay fish pendants! I wanted to make something really simple and I like how these turned out. Planning to make more of them and use a lot of different glazes!

A stoneware clay pendant, 38x38mm. I used engobes together with glazes to attempt to get a copper patina look in the middle, and more of a rusty look on the edges. I think it's pretty neat! Definitely trying again with more things.

My first container with a lid! It makes a nice sound when you put the lid on. That faint clay against clay click.
The dots are glazed, the rest is just clay paint. At first I planned to add details in acrylics but now I think it's fine as it is.

Making faces!

A first batch. Want to make some with horns and many eyes and other things as well, but gotta start somewhere.
The old one was the most fun to make! I like sculpting wrinkles.
