They've been shocking autistic kids in special schools for years and years. Autistic people tried to bring attention to it but were mostly ignored. It makes me so angry. We are used to experiment things on because no one stands up for us.

Wow. Proponents of the ICE taser gloves are openly saying that one reason they love the gloves is that they doesn’t leave any marks or proof that they were used, making it harder for people to sue when they’re shocked excessively.

my current workplace does a lot of advocacy around shutting down the JRC (autisticadvocacy.org/stoptheshock/) and every so often I have to tell a coworker, “I know this is an issue we’ll work with basically anyone on but treat the CCHR people with extreme skepticism – they are Not Our Allies.”
