In 2021 two new #submarine cables for electricity and fiber in the Wadden Sea in the Netherlands were sabotaged by drilling holes into them. No culprit was found, but the court case about the liability insurance pay-out to the construction firm has pictures of how it was built! :-) #submarinecable
