#### Greetings, our dear Backers! We hope everything is going wonderfully for you! It has been about a month since our last update, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support and the trust you continue to place in us. Your encouragement is a tremendous source of motivation that always drives us forward. We know that all of us are eagerly waiting for the start of shipping, and in this update we will share all the latest news along with the dates for when the First Batch will begin shipping. #### So, let’s get started. This month, we successfully launched the pre-production series on the full production line. We were able to implement all the improvements into mass production and also correct the issues that had been identified during the sampling stage. At this stage, production is running at full speed. We have completed all phases of testing and are now awaiting the finalization of manufacturing so that we can begin shipping. We have to move our shipping timeline to the end of September and the beginning of October. The Vokken Pro Series has been a major challenge for us, as we designed it entirely from scratch, applying technologies and designs we had never worked with before. Our goal was admittedly a bit ambitious, which is why we have fallen slightly behind schedule. But the most important thing is that we have finally succeeded. We also asked our manufacturing partners to record materials from the production process, and we will share these with you as soon as the basic production cycle is completed. We sincerely apologize for being about a month and a half behind schedule. #### Now, let’s talk about the specific timelines and the start of shipping. We expect to complete production and packaging by the end of September and the beginning of October, as mentioned earlier, and by that time we will be ready to begin shipping. Shipping will begin immediately after completion, covering three main regions: the USA, the EU, and the rest of the world. Shipping to the USA we have spent the past month working very seriously on this direction to ensure that you won’t have to pay tariffs or duties. We will load the entire batch for the USA onto a vessel and ship it to our warehouse in the United States. This way, you won’t have to pay any tariffs. The process will take about a month from the time production is completed. Backers from the USA who would like faster delivery and are okay with the new customs duties, please write to us at contact@vokken.com. Shipments to the EU will be sent directly from the factory to you, following a strict order of priority. Shipments to the rest of the world will also be carried out directly from the factory, just like for the European Union. Once again, we sincerely apologize for this small delay. We recently completed production of two pre-production prototypes that helped us resolve several issues related to the weight of the knives. Over the past month, we’ve been focused on finalizing the production samples and continually working to optimize the weight of the Vokken Pro Chef Knife. Our very first prototypes of the Chef Knife weighed around 325 grams, which, during active testing, proved to be too heavy for comfortable everyday use. So our challenge was to reduce the weight to a level that would be comfortable for most of our previous Backers and bring it closer to the weight of the Vokken Series 2.0 Chef Knife around 280–290 grams. We’re happy to share that we’ve successfully achieved this target weight by slightly thinning the blade and handle by a few microns. These changes are not noticeable to the naked eye, but they allowed us to reach an excellent weight and maintain great balance. All that’s left now is to launch our final pre-production sample into full-scale manufacturing, and over the coming month we’ll be focused on mass production. Very soon, we’ll also be releasing a new update where we’ll show all the stages of development. The mass production stage of the Vokken Pro will take approximately 45–60 days, which means we expect to begin shipping the "First Batch" by the end of August or early September. We have also completed the design and production of the new packaging for the Vokken Pro Series knives. Yes, we understand that we’re slightly behind schedule. However, ever since we started in 2023, our top priority has always been to create premium, high-quality products and we remain fully committed to that vision. You can rest assured!
