Found my rhythm at 7500 words daily. Not so few that momentum stalls, not so many that dread builds. The Goldilocks zone of sustainable practice. Like finding the perfect weight you can lift indefinitely without strain or boredom. #SustainablePractice #WritingHabits

Concrete is everywhere, & its impacts are massive. Cement accounts for 8% of global CO₂ emissions. Solutions cement substitutes, & carbon capture can cut emissions by up to 70%. Can concrete be both strong and sustainable? Explore at: https://wp.me/p2M8ej-1ok #Architecture #SustainablePractice
What is Low-Carbon Concrete?
The active ingredient in concrete is cement, and concrete's ubiquitous usage makes cement the most widely used industrial commodity today. The world consumes about half a ton of cement per person per year. But alongside its positive benefits as a construction material, cement also puts a major strain on the environment. Cement production currently accounts for 3% of world energy consumption and roughly 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions.

We tell our patients to protect their sleep and manage stress, yet we check patient portals late into the night. Setting boundaries with our own devices is part of clinical health. What is your cutoff time for work.

Protection of your energy is protection of your patient’s outcomes. Setting boundaries isn't cold; it's clinical hygiene. What is your strongest boundary for keeping your practice sustainable?

I'm pretty excited paint tubes and markers can now be recycled so manufacturers can use it to make new products. I'm already experimenting with sustainable paints, but am using up what I have

Freshwater scarcity is rising, but atmospheric water generation (AWG) offers a solution. From solar-powered hydropanels to fog collection, new technologies are pulling clean water from the air: https://wp.me/p2M8ej-1ns #Architecture #SustainablePractice #Sustainability
Some Innovative Atmospheric Water Generators
Atmospheric water generation (AWG) uses technology to produce potable water from the surrounding air. Drinking water supplies around the world are endangered as populations increase, groundwater is depleted and surface supplies shrink. Oceans could be tapped, but desalination is energy intensive and costly. There are, however, approximately 3,100 cubic miles of water vapor in the atmosphere, a nearly unlimited resource continuously replenished by the planet’s hydrologic cycle, so taking water from the air will not harm the environment.
