DRDs occur as part of a broader system, where policies, social environments, and individual behaviours are interconnected. Systems mapping helps us understand the social ecological system, showing cause-effect relationships and the need for multi-stakeholder solutions. (4/17) #systemsmapping

Sometimes when we do #systemsmapping we end up with soooo many feedback loops, it can be hard to know how to narrow them down.

Our article includes just one example of how you can consider this issue.

There is no perfect solution - but I also advise to factor in time to qualitatively explore them.
Our new article published in the Journal of Physical Activity & Health used #systemsmapping to reconsider the social determinants of #physicalactivity & #sedentarybehavior in families.

Thanks to the @ehpssynergy.bsky.social who supported my involvement in this work.
