I should add, too, that aluminium drink cans in 1970 didn't have that rounded-edge look they have now. They had SEAMS, and rims on the bottom, and, of course, pull tabs that came all the way off. Heck, pull tabs like that were still a thing when I went to college. We used to make chains of them.
