And i thought about revenge too and how i would rate the needed amount of the Lin family wrongs... i think it reminds me the most about the relation between Qiao and Wei family in TPOB. Qiao could & should have come and helped but chose protecting their own clan over their promise to help/support.

Rebuilding over here is a theoretical option too … it'd be uphill work at best tho, I am currently looking over some of the tpob network and I do not really see mirror accounts of most mutuals I interact more with. Most accounts also seem to be only parked here, often inactive since '23–'24.

This is a cold take on TPOB, but I do not like old buildings with "character". I do not like crooked floors, poorly-insulated plaster walls, or twisty stairwells that make it impossible to transport a desk upstairs in one piece. I do not like freestanding AC units or hand-washing dishes.

When i only regard the dramas as such I enjoyed TPOB more. Pacing and writing felt more consistent imo and it felt in not a single episode dragging. For me personally it's almost perfect.

i am attracted to the simcluster (and what you might call tpob, and its predecessor, tpot) i think mostly because its a space with unusual levels of intellectual humility. intellectual humility is rewarded, disagreeing is a bit less dangerous, and we can laugh at ourselves and be lil silly about it.
