It works! This is a Tascam X8 audio recorder. I've hacked the firmware so you can listen to ultrasound bats around you on headphones live in stereo (and still record at the same time). Hopefully some bats around tonight so I can give it a field test #bioacoustics #bats

Since the 80s, I've only had Portastudios : Tascam 244, Tascam 388 Studio 8, and Tascam DP-24SD 24-Track 🎚️
Still got them all, but I don't use them enough these days - work gets in the way - I plan to use them more frequently after I retire 👍
