AI is NOT your friend. I have yet to hear any AI boosters justify the actual, serious costs & real harms caused by its construction & use as measured against outcomes that, frankly, are mediocre at best.

Nor have I heard anyone give any serious explanation for why, in the face of repeated instances of AI causing actual harm and giving factually incorrect outputs, we should let students engage with AI.
