Thunderskull says "Season's Greetings and Happy Holidays!"

May you have a festive holiday season and Joyful Yule!

Digital illustration of a messy bedroom decorated with anime wall scrolls, a full sized body pillow of a dragon person, unmade bed, glowing neon skull shaped lamp, dirty underwear and socks on the floor, and a large lawn skull made of cement. In the foreground is Thunderskull, a tall skeleton man with horns, wearing a Santa hat. Flames flit out of his empty eye sockets as he takes a photo of himself in a mirror. He's also wearing a large baggy black hoodie and has his right arm, which is still fleshy, in a pink cast held to his chest with a fabric strap. Text on the image reads "Season's Greetings!" and a signature reads "Sarah 'Neila' Elkins 2023"

This one was kinda tricky for me since I normally try to make Thunderskull's head anatomically correct and Akira Toriyama was super cartoony when drawing skulls.

I like how this came out!

Thunderskull in the style of Akira Toriyama. He's a cartoony skeleton man wearing baggy pants and a hoodie that's jumping into the air as fire shoots from his eyes. Text on the image reads "Thunderskull Akira Toriyama style @NeilaK20"

There are many other things I should have worked on today but I think my brain needed to draw something silly. I'm glad it's #MakeATerribleComicDay today

Panel 1: My original character Thunderskull from Book of CoL, a skeleton with two small horns on is head and flaming eyesockets, stands with a dark gray crop top hoodie on that features a heart shaped skull above the word "DADDY." His lower ribs, spine, and upper pelvis are visible above his jeans. He holds a cup of pink boba tea in one hand. He's having a great day. Panel 2: Close up of Thunderskull drinking the boba. Sound effect reads "SLURP!" Panel 3: Wide shot of Thunderskull throwing his head back declaring "Ahh Refreshing!" his formerly invisible stomach is now visible thanks to the boba tea swirling in it. Two onlookers stare. A tall one with great hair points and says "That's weird, bra." Panel 4: Thunderskull looks down, crying tears of fire while his boss, Page says "So, we're instituting a new rule because there have been some complaints. No exposed guts." Text at the bottom of the comic reads "@NeilaK20 Make A Terrible Comic Day 2026"

An autographed copy of SIDNEY MELLON'S THUNDERSKULL. Signed by the guy later convicted for...um, well, you know, who at the time would write under the Mellon alias as a young overzealous comics kid to satirize the industry. Ultimately a lot to unpack there. www.comics.org/issue/243156/

In a world where the culprit could be anyone or anything what kind of detective do you turn to?

Book of CoL is a thrilling mystery about an asexual genderfluid detective with shapeshifting powers!

Two figures wearing suits look up at the camera. The person on the left has on a messy brown suit and tie, his hair also a mess. The person next to him wears a blue-sh black suit and tie. Their hair is lighter brown and skin more pale. A mass of things, mechanical and biological grow from their left arm, including but not limited to: an alligator head, dragon wing, motorcycle engine block, ceiling support beams, giant coconut crab legs and body, kitchen sink, brick wall, multiple chainsaws, bird wing, wolf head, jet engine, another human arm and torso, and a cube that's wearing the same suit and tie as the rest of that figure. A human ear is visible on the meatcube. Text reads "Book of CoL: The Ember Child." Curved and warped perspective of the exterior of a massive apartment complex. People, who do not entirely look human such as a Minotaur and an elf, watch as a pair of movers help Page Simmons carry boxes marked 'Scythian.' The minotaur has a barbecue pit on his balcony. The Elf has a number of potted plants. A sign on the building reads "Little Asgard Heights" below the design of tree with an intricate knot instead of branches. The movers look concerned. Page carries three boxes while each movie carries one. Page is a white person with light colored hair that's shaved on the back and sides but long on the top. They've also got a noticeable scar on their left bicep, that's visible under the cuff of their T-shirt sleeve. Two panels. The top panel features a giant skeleton knight, Thunderskull, wearing loose dark fabric, gloves, and armor. He has a skull head with a pair of short pointed horns emerging from the top of his cranium. Flames burn from his empty eye sockets. His left hand is in the air, crushing a solo style cup full of beer very messily. Page Simmons laughs in the foreground. Second Panel: A shorter figure, wearing the same armor, is collapsed on the ground clutching a visibly shattered arm and hand. He is a young latino man in his 20s, with brown skin and fluffy dark hair. He is also horrified. Page squats down next to Thunderskull, pointing at his injured arm. The solo style cup is on the floor as is a mess of liquid from the beer. In the background of this panel sits a dresser with a retro sound system on it. The toilet tissue aisle of a grocery store. Page Simmons stands, holding a small hand basket and a four pack of toilet paper. They wear a t-shirt that reads "Book of Secrets" and light colored jeans with tennis shoes. A long forked tail curls around them and leads to a nearly seven foot tall figure who excitedly points at something off camera. This is Eterna. She is very tall and also very curvy. She has on a dark long sleeve shirt with ruffled collar, a tight short skirt, and tall boots that come up just past her knees. Her ears are incredibly long and pointed. Her hair is dark, curly, and short. She has a pair of long curved horns that emerge from the top of her head and sweep back then up. She is bubbly and happy, excited to show her new neighbor around.

How about a sketch comic of Thunderskull and Alma?
Sketched out two panel comic. Panel one: Thunderskull, a thin Latino man with fluffy hair and sideburns, has his right arm in a cast and sling but holds his five year old sister, Alma, in his other arm. She grabs onto his hoodie and whines "Thunderskull, Thunderskull, Thuuuuuuunderskuuuullll..." Panel Two: Thunderskkull has transformed into a skelton man with horns and flaming eye sockets. He says "Sigh" while Alma cheers, "EEEEH!! YAY! Thunderskull!" Text above the comic reads "Book of CoL" while a signature below says "@NeilaK20"

Had to get this comic out of my brain after seeing the headline cautioning people in New York not to kiss sick birds.

Nikola Tesla, who lived in New York, was known for rescuing sick and injured pigeons then nursing them back to health.
Four panel comic: Panel 1: a fat little pigeon sits on the ground with a sweat drop and shut eyes Panel 2: Nikola Tesla crouches over the pigeon, he is a tall lanky white man with dark hair and a mustache Panel 3: Nikola Tesla has moved over and is gently kissing the pigeon as a small heart flies into the air. The pigeon is flattered and blushes Panel 4: Nikola Tesla whistles as he casually whisks the pigeon into his jacket. A signature on the piece reads "@NeilaK20 Sarah 'Neila' Elkins 2024"
