Does anyone know why the UNFCCC greenhouse gas inventory only goes up to 2021? It's 2025....surely the most recent update is more recent than that??

How on earth is there the demand for it?

Just looking at the current BITRE data (https://www.bitre.gov.au/publications/ongoing/international_airline_activity-time_series), and year by year AUS>USA outbound travel last year is barely half of where things were pre-COVID, and a ~25% drop since 2024.
Analysis of BITRE data, summarising year-by-year outbound traffic to the United States Of America, where total 2025 traffic was 873,058 passengers. In 2024, it was 1,176,014 passengers. Prior to COVID (2019), total traffic was 1,643,891 passengers.

The UK's 2035 target is 78% on 2005 levels, compared to 2035 targets of 75-80% in Victoria, 75% in QLD, 70% in NSW, and 100% in Tasmania (all on 2005 levels). Australia's 2035 target is TBD.
