Right next to Mr.Macintosh was Superstar64! He had an exhibition dedicated to Intel Macs, with a line of MacBook Pros starting from the first Core Duo (Jan 2006) all the way thru the last major design iteration, the TouchBar model.

Os problemas tavam em todas as distros pq os drivers necessários não estão no kernel, então fiquei na Ultramarine que é minha preferida
Pra resolver wifi, iluminação do teclado e touchbar usei

pior que não, o driver da touchbar não tá no kernel mas é tranquilo, o de som também
o problema mesmo é o wifi e o suspender/hibernar (acho que algo relacionado a ao ssd dormir e não voltar)

It has a better chance than the Vision of being successful. I honestly do think it will.
But "analysts get all excited about how the latest Apple product is going to change the world" is practically an annual event. And to do that they just memory-hole all the missteps. (Remember the touchbar?)

It will make them more visible, sure. And there are a lot of cheaper foldables that will likely benefit. It could certainly turn out to be another Apple Watch.

I feel like touchbar needs vibe coding to be useful since no one really made their own interactions or tools for it back then

I was so disappointed with the Touchbar. I wanted to like it. But I think changing focus to a different kind of screen/UI, on a different plane was just too mentally costly. Forgetting what I was doing because I had to stop and think about where the damn volume buttons were made me furious.

I want a laptop with a programmable row of keys across the top that I could set to any unicode code point and that have little oleds in them to show me how they're mapped.

I guess the newer MacBooks are boasting 16 hours of battery life, and given I've been actively using my laptop for 9 hours after my mother kidnapped my charger and I'm still at 65%, I believe this. But why no touch bar? Why possible reason does anyone have to buy a MacBook with no touchbar?
