A practical alternative to commercial RNA ladders: dual-ribozyme T7 transcription produces defined RNA size standards spanning 25–600 nt. Combined with RNA-calibrated ssDNA markers, this provides a low-cost reference system for short- to medium-length RNA analysis by Urea-PAGE.
