Andy Lawton has put together a table of expected UK election declarations crossed with the average of the MRP polls so you can see when the main action should happen. You’ll have to wait till c. 4am to see Labour announced as the government.

Will a group of us be here on election night (as opposed to X or Threads)?

I do hope do

22° in my north facing, solid brick wall sitting room this morning. The sound of cargo ship engines through open windows all night

I like to think this heat burst has come just in time as training for staying up on election night

Inspired by Sunak’s regurgitated national service nonsense, here’s a useful formula for questions to ask Conservative Party canvassers: why isn’t [pledge] in place already, since you’ve had 14 years in government, the last five of which with a clear majority?

Gotta say, Channel 4’s election night line up was great

But there will be a panel including Zawahi, Kwarteng & Anne Widdicombe…not to mention Mad Nads

Is it worth the pain to hear their swansong?

I think the big story of this #UKGE2024 #UKGeneralElection2024 will be the efficiency of the tactical anti-Tory vote

Getting the Tories out of power feels inevitable

Getting conservatism out of power feels impossible!

Wow. From Sunak taking about Starmer:
"Whatever our disagreements in this campaign, he is a decent, public-spirited man who I respect..."

Where was that respect during the campaigns?

People who can vote in the UK's general election, your attention please.
Don't vote for the Tory in your constituency. That little X can go to someone else. Once the lists are finalised early next month you can choose who. Just *don't* vote Tory.
Spread the word.

@euronews: Brexit has been a taboo topic on the campaign trail as the UK gears up for Thursday's election.

Analysts say that a likely Labour-led government could offer new-found stability to a recently tumultuous UK-EU relationship.

The presidential style TV debate has drawn criticism. I think its vital that the leaders face and argue against an opposing view - otherwise its just a bubble. I prefer to listen to debates on the radio, focusing on the words more. How would you change the debate format? #UKGeneralElection2024

Hate to say this, but Starmer needs to do better in television debates and was unbalanced by Rishi at times. That said, his 30 second wrap up was strong. Best question from Robert Blackstock - are you two really the best we've got to be the next PM?
