As a Chicagoan I can confirm that the mass marches and rallies organized by USPCN *were not jubilant*.
there were lots of people who correctly saw that this was a double disaster - a massacre of Jews that was going to result in an apocalyptic slaughter in Gaza - and acted accordingly; the literally pro-Hamas rallies were not among them. People were fucking jubilant!

Also I WAS AT the emergency mass protests organized by USPCN and:
1. They were not jubilant. The immediate message was "stop Israel from genocide".
2. The crowd safety teams, almost entirely women, repeatedly put themselves between agitators and dipshit men trying to fight the agitators.

Saw a decent segment on the USPCN protest permit denials for the DNC on CBS2. It was moving along fine until the reporter stuck this in at the end.
