I found this several months ago, you won’t trust any meat products being imported from the USA, it’s just a risk not worth taking when Australia exports high quality beef to the world.

One reason Australia doesn’t import beef from USA - bio security laws keeps our agriculture on this island continent free of many diseases found elsewhere. Probs bc as exporters ourselves USbeef couldn’t compete on price either.
