Possibly my most controversial product & UX take is that I don't trust UX/product people who don't play video games in depth.
I think it makes you a worse designer, and you should take a deep interest in game design.

A problem with performance metrics that focus on "impact" is that it can bias UX Researchers to focus on low hanging, easier to fix, issues rather than more complicated or systemic ones.
Furthermore, a goal of UX Research is to catch issues early, before they become impactful.
