I was talking to a friend who is only a few months younger than me and I was trying to explain to them that *we* were on social media when we were teenagers. Obviously it wasn't called that and was primitive by today's standards, but yahoo usergroups or message boards were fulfilling that function

I know it sounds crazy, but LL does actually pay attention to canny issues that get large votes. It's also good ammo to hammer LL over the head with in the usergroups.

If I'm talking about data-as-service or "data" in a more sociotechnical sense - & hence "quality" in a broader sense - then I wld bring in more quality-related concepts (eg provenance, access/use rules, qualities of data provider, &c) and encourage more of a dive into different usergroups/needs
