deer gravitated to GZDoom (now UZDoom) precisely because the introduction of ZScript felt like a return to that, and with the added benefit of the whole engine being FOSS and open to all sorts of contributors (so much for that now, though).

Just a bit of an update regarding my #doom mod, Make 'Em Bleed:
I'm slowly chipping away at it. Very slowly. My drive is still shot to hell, but I'm doing whatever I can to get every other weapon in the mod's arsenal set up. Burnout's not fun, gotta learn to pace myself.
