Wow just wow. I did not have on my bingo card an mRNA therapeutic for treating pre eclampsia. A VEGF tropic mRNA resolved maternal hypertension until pregnancy in a mouse model of the condition. Really fascinating science.

I get that using Ozempic as an example is timely, but almost every therapy has a similar story. For e.g., VEGF was discovered in cell culture in the 80s and is now targeted by anti-VEGF drugs that significantly improve macular degeneration, after they were first developed for cancer treatment.
