#Vicars
Hello, Deaf here. There has been a lot of debate about hearing people teaching sign language. There are hearing people signing certain signs that are wrong and it gets out of hand. Please suggest Deaf teachers such as Bill Vicars on Youtube. Thank you. #ASL #SignLanguage #teach #BillVicars

The Rev Simon Lockett writing his country diary from the beautiful Golden Valley in Herefordshire

Golden Valley, Herefordshire: Even vicars can get stuck too much behind a desk, and the 800th anniversary of St Francis of Assisi’s death is a good excuse to strike out, and speak to local people

We are a de facto vassal state whose foreign policy is determined by the US and Israel’s interests. Why else do you think almost 4000 grandparents and vicars are facing terrorism trials?

Worried about Russian meddling in UK politics? Wait till you see what Israel is up to
Andy Burnham’s government is rolling out a new “Centre for Information Defence”. But the outside actors most aggressively undermining what little remains of British democracy are nowhere in its sights

Retired CofE vicars can be nasty than they seem …

Did #Kevin #Sorbo go to school.
True equals?
It took 2,000 years before there were female vicars in the UK and women could not inherit until the 1900s.
No female Cardinals in the Vatican.
Not one female Pope.
Until recently, the Christian Church considered women the property of men; no status.

Let the bald wanker cook because maybe treating the wife of a senior cabinet member might concentrate minds. Arresting priests, vicars and grannies just isn’t cutting it.
Demanding retribution against the national security advisor’s wife is an obviously insane thing to do, but why would Jake worry? Nobody is going to pull him up on it.

Unless the Met confused it with a Palestinian flag, obvs. Then it's hard time with the Grans and Vicars.

Have the protesters tried wearing balaclavas and black shorts? That seems to work.

Labour are not communists controlled by Russia like old dim tories spout. Nor are they ruled by the unions like angry gammons spout. They are owned by Israel. They arrest vicars for saying free Palestine and condemn the greens zionism motion and refuse to call it genocide while selling them weapons

And it is, to quote Derek Nimmo in Vicars Are Funny, a fucking banger.

Ask someone to define Britishness and they'll invariably offer a definition that describes Englishness, and a particularly home counties kind of Englishness at that. Cricket and tea and village greens and Anglican vicars. Britishness is a lot harder to define.

What's happening is an unintended consequence which is turning into farce - even the foreign secretary said so recently. They need to sort out that PA thing (personally I assume we have laws to stop people smashing things up and assaulting anyone) because we're criminalising retired vicars.
October 15, 2026 at 12:30 PM
The PM might have changed but the policies, values and the people pushing them have stayed the same. Not a single SCG MP has been appointed to the front bench.

Vicars, disabled people, pensioners, retired police and army veterans are still being arrested.

Books are being banned from sale.

Add this to the insane list like arresting 80 year olds and vicars for peaceful priest. I find it hard to believe UK government lawyers didn't explain what could happen if Palestine Action was declared a prescribed terrorist organisation. The then government did it anyway
October 15, 2026 at 9:51 AM
Support for a proscribed terrorist organisation is illegal.

Whether retired Vicars like it or not

The law applies to us all.
October 15, 2026 at 8:52 AM
Oh, and I rather think there are loads of people who care about Palestine, including grannies and vicars, who aren't noted for dedicating their lives to anarchic protest.
October 15, 2026 at 8:47 AM
We are truly terrified of the granny vicars with placards sitting quietly on the pavement. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Re the Sally Rooney news, I was looking up data on arrests under terrorism legislation the other day, and hadn't quite realised how utterly bonkers the effect of the Palestine Action prohibition had been. That big purple spike is basically all PA-related arrests.

I better calm down

The protest which cannot speak its name. Best selling Irish author Sally Rooney's books won't be sold in UK any more because she supports Palestine Action, the motley crew of vicars and pensioners who terrorise the populace by sitting down and holding up paper

Beginning to worry that if I don't express my opposition to genocide and support of Palestine Action soon they'll de-proscribe the organisation and I won't get a chance to be arrested alongside the cool [checks notes] pensioners, vicars, and highly-respected human rights lawyers.
October 14, 2026 at 10:01 PM
uk.news.yahoo.com/sally-rooney... You cannot protest against the Israelis' Gaza Holocaust in Britain. The authorities are staunchly pro genocide and pro ZioNazi. Grannies and retired vicars have been flung in prison, convicted as 'terrorists' for daring to do this.
Sally Rooney says she can no longer sell books in UK due to Palestine Action support
Irish writer of Normal People says she can no longer receive royalties from British sales and she cancelled UK trip due to fear of arrest

But they still arrest 80 yo peace protesting ex Vicars for preference and allow businesses and unpaid life savers to be blockaded by disguised Fascists. I think we know whose side they are on.
