Unfortunate that there is no alternative, as there are few tasks as onerous and unlikely to draw volunteership than taking photos of animals
I don't have the emotional bandwidth for this, but some pet adoption groups are now using AI to fill their photo rosters of pets who need homes. I can't really imagine this going well as these renderings of those pets beautify them and make them look super different

Got married, launched a website, surpassed 1000 scans, joined Hit Save, collaborated with the International Arcade Museum Library, started an archives volunteership, gave more guest lectures, built a library database 😇
Very excited to be starting a new volunteership next week with a local archive !!!

As alluded to previously, I've started a more involved volunteership at the United Farmers of Alberta archives! In addition to processing some text-heavy fonds, we are hopeful that my digitisation and imaging work can help tackle their large A/V collection in the future

I'm hoping to find a new volunteership in these new towns and I'm excited to refocus back onto wetlands and fisheries with school semester upcoming.
It feels really validating to think back on my career and personal advancing so I appreciate having a place to share these thoughts 💙

Right??? I spent a year in a studio apartment with americorps VISTA volunteership money, I.E. below minwage table scraps. I was lucky my dad shot me ~200 bucks each month because otherwise I'd be homeless. Hell, if the place I volunteered for hadn't topped off my bus card, I'd have been in trouble!

I'm afraid that's where I'm going to have to draw the line. Reverse is the only application that I'm willing to deal with. I'm not sure blowing out from the mouth is going to work. Respectfully, I withdraw my volunteership.

Losing medi-cal due to not having access to 80 hours of sufficiently documentable employment or volunteership is "still a waiting game" because the law is vague and the people in charge don't know how systems or any specific project works. They're flying blind, a bull in a china shop.
