#WALZ
Or maybe that there was a concerted campaign from “the left” once again that Harris/Walz would be no different than Trump/Vance which was actually very successful

That pissed me off, Walz calling them weird was so good!

Seconded. Minnesota politicians have been asleep at the wheel for the last decade when it comes to state higher education. I like him for a lot of other reasons, but Tim Walz doesn’t give two fucks about higher ed. A generation of DFL state legislators who supported higher ed have retired or been
I understand and share the impulse to blame university administrators. I have written plenty about them. But right now I’d like us to turn the focus to Minnesota politicians and Minnesota voters and ask what functions of the university do you want to see cut? What don’t you care about Amy Klobuchar?
“Cutting this much from the university budget will mean that some of the core functions of the university will be lost. It’s not possible to just do more with less — to work smarter, to trim around the edges. We’re going to have to do less with less.”

“Harris/Walz didn’t stop saying ‘weird’ the media just stopped covering it”

lol what? They were saying it on cable news appearances and then stopped doing that. They did continue to appear on cable news. I don’t think the media can be blamed here!

That’s how JD debated Tim Walz, which I never understood, how moderators /new outlets let “no facts checking” happens.
October 1, 2026 at 12:47 PM
I don’t believe he would personally be on the side of ice for one minute, unless of course he were forced to, TFG used every trick in the book to withhold funding for Minnesota. Walz had many tough decisions to make. No one knows that pressure but him. Main reason he’s turning it over to Amy.
October 1, 2026 at 11:56 AM
It is true but Walz did keep saying it right up to the end
October 1, 2026 at 11:56 AM
i was angry about this for the longest time but seeing how walz handled ice a year later changed my perspective a lot and now i figure he only struck gold with weird and it was bound to run out

I live here as well. I’m asking how you know Tim sent them. I saw thugs dressed as troopers. They were also at the state fair. None were “ sent” by Walz. I walked past them and said to a friend, “ Too weak to even wear a name or ID.” They weren’t troopers.

I'll say this for Marcel Walz - the kid's got chutzpah.
October 1, 2026 at 11:36 AM
Yeah after this story dropped the VP debate happened and Walz spent the entire time talking up how much he and JD have in common. We were all there, we should all remember.

This is prime example of a Democrat being WEAK, SOFT, and SPINELESS. Trumps GESTAPO party Attorney is charging 10 federal judges in Minnesota. The frivolous charges meant to prevent judges from doing their jobs is obvious. So where is Governor of Minnesota? Governor Walz or Walls is MIA! Hiding!
October 1, 2026 at 10:47 AM
But I heard Harris had a weird laugh and Tim Walz got a date wrong once so you can see why so many people had a hard time making up their minds.
October 1, 2026 at 10:22 AM
Governor Walz had it totally correct, they're weirdddddddddddddd!
Weird ass Weird!

Just vote Blue 🩵💙🩵 to flood away, you-know-wh🍊... 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

Tim Walz was calling them weird at campaign events well into October

He also called them unhinged and said Trump was “spiraling” & the people most upset about the supposed banning of “weird” often go on to say that warning of the dangers of MAGA, that MAGA is fascist just made them look cooler
October 1, 2026 at 6:41 AM
Same same, it seems like Walz doesn't really want that level of power but who knows
October 1, 2026 at 6:13 AM
Also said a year and a half ago, I'd be shocked if Pritzker or Walz didn't try to run
October 1, 2026 at 6:11 AM
oh yeah like I've said I've never seen the "they never told her to stop" just the truer "she and Walz never really stopped" which is more defensible
October 1, 2026 at 6:05 AM
right, someone told her/Walz to stop, but they didn't
October 1, 2026 at 5:58 AM
Telling Tim Walz to stop calling Trump et al weird was one of the biggest mistakes of the 2024 presidential race.
October 1, 2026 at 5:51 AM
There’s this weird phenomena that, best I can tell, is only on Bluesky, but is people certain that “no one told Harris and Walz to stop saying ‘weird’, that’s a myth.”

It’s not, and there’s named sources in CNN articles about, from August 2024.
"First, said veteran Democratic numbers man Geoff Garin, summarizing [the pollsters'] analysis, stop saying, “We’re not going back.” It wasn’t focused enough on the future, he argued. Second, lay off all the “weird” talk — too negative."

these fucking guys, man

walz called them "weird" and they've never gotten over it

In a related piece of news, Minnesota's Gov. Tim Walz has just signed a bill permanently declaring state organizations refer to AI as "smarty pants"
We live in such an incredibly stupid era

Where's Walz? And Peggy Flanagan?
