Ahead of #WHS2026, Charles Gore spoke at the @who.int Global Forum on viral #hepatitis elimination, warning that HBV deaths are rising, treatment gaps persist, and advocacy still lags.

#CHAI stressed that strong partnerships and urgent scale-up of diagnosis and treatment are key to elimination.

The #WHS2026 officially started yesterday in Nairobi with H.E. President William Ruto giving his remarks on the need for increased domestic resourcing & policy leadership on health.

"Delivering health is our responsibility as a nation. Any other assistance is secondary," he noted.
