I just discovered that France has a fantastic Geoportal, with dozens (hundreds?) of datasets available via WMTS. Like this 1916 map of the front lines in Verdun.

Même pas ivre il découvre à 48 ans que désormais quasiment toutes les couches du Géoportail peuvent être intégrées à Qgis, il suffit de créer une connexion WMS avec les adresses indiquées sur cette page :

Même pas ivre il découvre à 48 ans que désormais quasiment toutes les couches du Géoportail peuvent être intégrées à Qgis, il suffit de créer une connexion WMS avec les adresses indiquées sur cette page :

swisstopo's WMS and WMTS have been experiencing an outage since mid morning today www.geo.admin.ch/de/wms-wmts-... with other words imagery layers (orthofotos and DEMs) from swisstopo are currently not working in #OpenStreetMap editors.

WMTS has recently fired a union-supporter over a first offense. The unionized workers are asking for community members to reach out to WMTS and ask that WMTS immediately reinstate Jessica Quick and sit down to bargain in good faith with the newly unionized drivers.

Hacking together a Clip-Zip-Ship tool: draw custom polygon over wmts imagery service in web mercator, converts to UTM zone 19 coordinates and clips the corresponding geotiff (4band, 15cm, 16bit) and delivers to user.

yeah, last year the pre-tariff top was WMTs bad guidance, and then everything in MTUM got crushed, and then cyclicals/tariff sensitive underperformance came in bursts
