The Flaming Dragon Ride-On, a plush dragon mounted on a stick, has become an unofficial good-luck charm for Toronto Blue Jays fans after appearing in the team's dugout during a series in San Francisco. This unexpected trend has led to a surge in demand at The Rocking Horse toy store in Kingston, where staff report skyrocketing sales. Lyn Wattam, a sales assistant at the store, described the sudden interest as shocking, noting that the dragon's association with the Blue Jays transformed it into a cultural phenomenon. The toy, originally a children's item, has now attracted fans from across Canada, with online orders flooding in. The store has become the sole online retailer for the dragon, shipping hundreds of units nationwide. Fans hope the dragon will bring good fortune to the Blue Jays' offense, while the store's unexpected role in the craze highlights the intersection of sports and consumer culture. The story underscores how a simple toy can become a symbol of community and shared enthusiasm for a sports team.
