My wife & I have used NOAA forecast graphs for 15 years, we wised up to TV& Weatherapps being sensationalized, <granular, >moral hazards, battery drainers, made for audiences that can’t read graphs.
*when exactly might it rain in this square mile*, pouring concrete worthy if nothing else

From someone on Twitter: At a hunch I’d say between late 80’s to 1996. I remember first noticing the mobile phones masts on the floodlight from around 1988. The tower blocks in Oliver close were demolished around 1996. WeatherApps suggest the winter of 1990/91 to be the most likely.

Always on the lookout for a good weather app. I really like the Pixel Weather (app only available on Pixel devices) but Google can't seem to get it locked and stable. This is very similar and allows you to choose sources like Today Weather does.

The first day of sitting outside*, this calendar year, and not the last one, in the next two weeks, if the weather app is right - and it sometimes is.

Yah, I'll cut the winter beard tomorrow.
