Today I went on a walk around Canary Wharf as part of a global day of action on data centres. There are a ton of smaller data centres serving the financial sector there, owned by companies like Digital Realty.

Again another image I was really debating including - the wharf at Jackson's Bay at the very end of the road South Westland NZ. But this year I needed to include the North Island, so it can wait for another year.

They’re replacing the docks at Meteghan wharf and they’re just finishing up. Methinks they cut it close as lobster season starts end of the month. The new piles are reflecting in the calm water.

The last time I walked through Canary Wharf tube station I was swarmed by men in uniform pushing red poppies. Lines of men in formation blocked the normal route from the escalator. Soldiers physically confronted civilians. In the UK, it’s constant one-sided war, plus a propaganda war on top of it
I was going to say that I hadn’t seen much about the ‘War on Poppies’ this year but you can always rely on the Telegraph.

Just one tasking today for Coastguard Hibiscus. Helped a couple of people on a 9.5m launch. They had mechanical problems and needed a tow from Challenger Is. (South East cnr of Kawau Is.) into Mahurangi Hbr & past Scott’s Landing. 7 knots so it took a while.
