Eltz Castle, Wierschem Germany.
The sort of place that when you see it you expect Swelter (Gormenghast) to be in the kitchen, beating the cooks boy for making lumpy porridge 😬

⚜️ Perched on a forested hill in Wierschem 🇩🇪, Burg Eltz is a breathtaking example of medieval architecture.

Since the 12th century, it has remained in the Eltz family, passing through 33 generations without ever being destroyed or abandoned, a rarity in European history.
