I got to tell her at WorldCon that Ishmael is one of my comfort reads, and she gave me a big smile and put her hands on her heart, like, Awwwwww!

New weird animal fact for Worldcon purposes: unlocked.

I have one of those!

It's not too well focused, but it's also from the Chicago Worldcon in 2022. I spotted you in a gathering outside my hotel window.

For some reason, there is a giant dog nearby.

I was innocent (in that ear, anyhow) till Susan Shwartz explained K/S to me at the Atlanta Worldcon in 1986.

Sad to hear of Patrick Stewart’s passing. The person I call The Former Tenant met and spoke to him briefly when Stewart made a flying visit to the 2002 Worldcon in San Jose.

Wait, the alt-reich troll who got banned from WorldCon Jon Del Arroz? WTF 🤯😡

Same huge author, different incident. At the recent Worldcon, a panelist (an author!) deliberately said to 100+ attendees, ~"That writer's 🙄 books are currently taking up 3 spots on the top-10 list, pfft."

Buddy. :) You've just ensured I'll never read a word you write. Bitterness is a poor spice.

just cleaned out a bag I clearly haven’t touched since glasgow worldcon in 2024 and found this @kateelliottsff.bsky.social bookplate signed to someone who clearly isn’t me - no idea how it got there, but hazel, whoever you are, I hope one eventually reached you! 😂😅

Eating the Fantastic ‹ Scott Edelman
Eating the Fantastic’s Worldcon began Thursday as many were still arriving in Anaheim for our found family’s annual gathering when I headed off to lunch with Martha Wells, who due to the astounding success of her stories set in the Murderbot universe has become well-known even outside the science fiction and fantasy community.
