#WritingThroughIt
When our mom died in a crash four years ago, my brother was shaken. I was too. But it did not throw me off balance the way it did him. Not at first.

Four years later, I caught up to him.

I have written five pieces about her in the past few weeks.

My research is like a half-written spell,
waiting for the part of me that still believes in magic.
Lately, life keeps stealing the pen.
Theories blur. Footnotes echo loud.
If you’re also trying to write through the fog
I see you.
Sometimes survival is the work.

Just dropped a new piece:
"The Truth Hurts"

A short and sweet moment of vulnerability.

No Anchor. No Script.
Just me and the mic I used to hand to everyone else.

Before motherhood, before careers, before life got complicated—there was writing. And now? I’m coming back to it, older, wiser, and with more stories to tell. 🖊️💭 #Storyteller #WritingThroughIt #FindingMyselfAgain

My latest poem, published in No Apologies, helped me process some heavy emotions this month. Writing through it was cathartic—maybe reading it will be too.

Mug’s full. Brain’s not. Trump’s riding high on transphobia and war drums like he’s auditioning for a Bond villain reboot. G7 felt like hope. Now it’s ICE and fire again. I’m staring at my draft like it’ll save us. It won’t. But I’ll keep writing anyway.

A reflection on memory, silence, and the girl I once buried beneath strength.

Woke up foggy, cold’s got me. Race this weekend too, ugh. But the coffee’s hot and the will’s still there. Even a groggy grind moves the story forward. ☕️❄️ #WritingThroughIt #Stoic #Coffee #WrittingCommunity

It’s not a productivity piece. It’s what happens when you write from inside the fog and manage to make one small ember glow anyway.

Even if it’s dark. Even if it’s messy. Even if it’s still in pieces.
Your story is still worth telling.

Sometimes writing is survival. Sometimes it’s healing.
And sometimes, it’s both.

Keep going.

After years of silencing my own thoughts, I’m finally writing again — letting my mind process, remember, and heal. The words are flowing, and maybe they’re meant for you. Read my 2nd #Substack bit.ly/41e8sR5 #HealingUnfiltered #WritingThroughIt

Today I was writing for me, yet in the midst of putting my heart on the page, I found something more.

It’s amazing how writing can open doors you never expected—to healing, to clarity, to others who say, ‘Me too.’

You never know what you’ll find on the other side of the words.
