1) Paper maps are incredible (history of cartography, anyone?)
2) Yes of course you needed a copilot or you had to pull over to use them properly if alone.
3) Yes we had to ask randoms for directions.
4) We also had to call the destination to get turn-by-turn directions if lost. #Xiennial #GenX

Can’t lie, the fact that y’all were driving with PAPER maps is insane. Even worse, you had to ask random strangers for directions??
Saw a meme of GenZ baffled by how pre-internet travel worked, and realized we’ve crossed an enshittification threshold where IRL services that once seemed outdated, like travel agents, now seem luxurious: “You meet with a human expert who plans out your whole trip with you” sounds incredible now tbh

I'm excited for the new Spiderman movie. I've loved every single 🕷️ movie.
Unless you're #Xiennial or elder millennial, you can't imagine how excited we were for Tobey Maguire Spidey. Before then, superhero movies were terrible. But Sam Raimi was a gawd. We were SO excited & it didn't disappoint.
