Blue Sky has less than half a percent of the online global population.

At least 5.52 billion people are active online. Of that total, approximately 429 million people, or 7.77%, were active on (X) Twitter this year, while #BlueSky had nearly 25 million active users, representing about 0.45%.🧵

One of the toughest problems Microsoft has to solve is that Windows has to serve two very different types of users: business users who don't want this at all, and home users who don't want this at all.

“According to the digital market intelligence company Similarweb, the number of daily active US users on X has dropped by 8.4% since early October, from 32.3 million to 29.6 million.

The number of Bluesky users has risen by 1,064%”

Threads apparently has 100 million daily active users. I'm sure this has nothing to do with people clicking on Threads posts from Instagram, where they're conveniently truncated to make people open up Threads and be counted as a daily active user www.theverge.com/2024/12/16/2...
Mark Zuckerberg says Threads has more than 100 million daily active users

I believe, outside of ChatGPT, that the combined generative AI industry is smaller than Pokémon Go at its peak, with apps like Gemini and Copilot having less than 20 million monthly active users. These unprofitable, unsustainable apps are also deeply unpopular.

Bluesky now has seven times the active daily users it had on Wednesday.

Even if 85% of these new users drift away, it’s now permanently twice as busy here.

i don't really like this metric, i think we should be measuring active users instead of overall users
Bluesky has passed a milestone of 25 MILLION users.
