Read two Elizabeth Bear (@matociquala.bsky.social) books in the past three/four days, “AncestralNight” and “Machine”. Highly recommended!

Now to decide: @chuckwendig.bsky.social’s latest (“Black River Orchard”), or a Julie Czerneda I got recently.

Decisions decisions.

Today is Dziady, a day of ancient Slavic ritual, honoring the dead. Tonight the boundary between the worlds of the living & the departed grows thin. People light candles, leave food & drink for their ancestors and gather to remember loved ones who have died. #Dziady #SlavicTradition #AncestralNight

I just finished Ancestral Night: White Space #1 by Elizabeth Bear and posted a review with Goodreads 3 out of 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Is there a book really, really like #AncestralNight by #ElizabethBear or have I read it before and failed to add it to my list?

Finished reading #projecthailmary last week. Waiting on #ancestralnight at the library. Re-reading #monalisaoverdrive while I’m waiting.

What? I know what I like. #scifi #bookstodon
