I suspect that David Hirsh has had enough of Zack Polanski dining out on his Jewish heritage while having largely removed himself from the community. John Mann is perfectly capable of recognising antisemitism, and he is a respected friend of the Jewish community.

i had about two more attacks in my head as the line where this effect really starts to kick in for American antizionists. hope the thing in Boulder isn't one.
a thing people are probably not going to enjoy thinking about is that there are multiple groups this basic principle could apply to- you look riskier when chunks of your demographic radicalize into something ugly- some which are well represented on Bluesky and some of which I belong to.
well, one thing that’s happened recently is that a big chunk of conservative men turned into MAGA authoritarians instead of genteel Romneyites. that’s a risk you notice!

The UK has a way worse version of the ambient antisemitism makes ppl nervous about antizionism as a dog whistle—->establishment Jewish institutions get really hostile to criticism of Israel/antizionism in general—-> antizionists now have beef with said institutions
