White Trail is currently 145k, and I wonder if I'm halfway done or not, because I am not plotting for this one in order to unlearn my old habit of falling into plot and edit loops.

I'm forever thankful to the ao3 user who told me not to expect much engagement because #AoAsa isn't a popular ship.

He would not have minded either way, helping him dry up, or properly put on the t-shirt. He was not too deep in his fantasy to notice how Okita's look followed Asahi san when he went into the bedroom, where he had left his bag and spare clothes. Takanobu must have been smiling, because when Okita finally looked up at him, her expression made a sudden change. “You did that on purpose,” she protested. He simply shrugged, but kept smiling, he did not mind her learning of his intentions. He might have failed to tell his guest that his study partner was a girl, or he might have succeeded in leaving no room for curiosity about the study partner for the question to be raised in the first place. It was weirdly satisfying to witness someone else feeling the attraction that had meanwhile seeped into his bones and out of his boners. “He just looks so mature,” she then whispered, “even more so from up close.”

The current chapters of White Trail have a lot to do with “boyhood” to me. I always see a lot of lost innocence there, which is different from the innocence of girlhood. If the societies allow, there's still even innocence in “dirty thoughts” and sexual desires. Sometimes writing makes me wanna go

AoAsa fic text screenshot: Takkun had told Asahi about having caught up to Hinata during the qualifiers, only to see him sandwiched between Ushiwaka and Oikawa. It was not like Asahi could not have imagined their rivalry when the two had faced each other in so many Miyagi tourney final games over the years. Being caught in the middle of it, and having the guess monster as a commentator on top of that, went beyond just understanding the tension. Oikawa's sets to Ushijima were different from the rest. It was subtle. Without their Kanto training camps and the close experience of different setters, Asahi would not have been able to tell. Oikawa's sets to the Ushiwaka were slightly better. It did not look like he thought the national star deserved better than the others, though. The sets he tossed to his rival were decided a littler faster than the ones Oikawa sent to the rest of them.

He wanted evidence of Aone being his boyfriend all over their home and their school, and the gym, and volleyball practise, and his lunchboxes, and every time he had to tie his shoes.
