go is not nearly as portable to windows as Rust is -- a lot of the APIs attempt to do Unix emulations, as opposed to Rust which gives you all the Windows nitty gritty bits

Don’t try to do it all tomorrow, even with fast mode it’ll take some time, and don’t expect to get all 50 states unless you’re paying for one of the APIs

Overall I remain deeply impressed at how many things Unix got right. The APIs work astonishingly well... except `fork`. It seems elegant at first glance but is a real mess when you look deeper. Today's gripe: how fork deals (or doesn't...) with threads.
