#authenticity
I admire Abdul El-Sayed’s authenticity in this election campaign when taking on a very powerful lobby. On 60 Minutes:

it’s all stuff like JOY, CONFIDENCE, GENTLENESS, AUTHENTICITY, etc so it’s a lot more accessible and less esoteric

What a joke. It completely undermines the entire point / authenticity of an art exhibit. It totally draws into question the authenticity of ALL the exhibits by proxy. I can't believe I paid for this garbage. Fuck you.

I'll also say that while I really do not LIKE that we are having to parse so much erratic behavior on the elected and electoral stage...

...we are enduring a political moment where disinhibition has been cynically rebranded as proof of authenticity, and the downstream results are complicated.
Speaking as someone with my fair share of fun brain chemistry stuff...

I don't think we are served well by pretending that fucking up royally on a massively public stage isn't a supercharged potential trigger for a mental health crash out.

He insisted on it being real hydrochloric acid. For authenticity.

it really feels like we are losing the living soul of music this year. my hope is people re-prioritize authenticity because we can’t rely on the living examples of artistry forever

Source? I’d like to share, but need to validate authenticity

It will only add to the authenticity…

Zach Lahn is MAHA’s great farm country hope. Is he the populist hero he claims to be?

He’s running for Iowa governor on promises to bust up Big Ag. But some farmers are questioning his authenticity.

In CPTSD, our conditioning is constantly competing w/ our authenticity. Think of trauma recovery as the process of distinguishing between the two.

Our symptoms are not our personality. Our injuries are not our destiny. Our past is not our future.

I was gonna write a long thread about the plight of rural creatives but really it boils down to this:

Make your thing NOW. You're ready. Make it now before some rich asshole tries to approximate it and sell your life back to you. Because that's where we're at. They're coming for our authenticity.

Perhaps unqualified people should make food safety decisions in historic districts too. Tapeworm is a small price to pay for authenticity.

truly, dr. senator marshall is a paragon of authenticity. he is exactly as awful and stupid as he appears to be
What an unusual situation: the NYT reports Marshall filmed the ad personally against the advice of his campaign team. Then his staff still refused to air it, so he personally sent it around to media folks to share it: www.nytimes.com/2026/11/01/u...
To close his campaign, Roger Marshall is running a 60-second ad about a central theme of this campaign — how he treated patients.

“We had to keep the lights on, so we occasionally handed accounts over to collection agencies”, he explains.

Millennials be like, "you must torture yourselves, to demonstrate authenticity and keeping it realness"
tbh I’m not gonna believe the Gen Z millennial optimism costume-wearers are *really* committing to the bit until they start putting on incredibly tight primary-colored skinny jeans

I took this screenshot on another platform. I cannot vouch 100% for its authenticity, but the poster is a very popular poster there with a large following and a reputation to uphold. That said, it is ALSO 100% in character with Stevens and her ilk.
