I sketch the design on leftover scraps from bagmaking, then stitch with sashiko thread and DMC embroidery floss. (It's duck canvas, thick and tough. I use a Tulip sashiko needle, with rubber-tipped jeweler's pliers to pull it through. But I still need to take regular breaks to stretch my hands.)
