I sew for mental health reasons.

Sometimes my sewing helps lift up others.

Today's recipient is my daughter who is now the proud owner of a one-of-a-kind afro Hello Kitty mini backpack.

Current work in progress: Been hoarding this Tiffany blue vinyl until I had the time (and spoons) to make this (HIGHLY modified) bag. The exterior’s done, sans strap ends.

Completed the exterior of the corset #handbag. Attaching the base was the most difficult thus far. 😩

I’m modifying the pattern to make the bag fully lined for a more polished look to the non-leather interior. Hoping that goes as planned. 🤞🏻😬 🤞🏻

Once you start sewing these, it is hard to stop. I made another 2 Bitsy Boxes. I just love using my leftover quilted Soft and Stable, plus my zipper cutoffs from other projects. I made one other but it was swiped by my youngest for her bag collection.
