Legislation distinguishing e-motos from e-bikes is sorely needed in MN, where legislation modeled on this CA law has already been introduced to the legislature but not passed. It takes the appropriate approach of regulating the mfrs and sellers not policing riders.

Gavin Newsom signs bill distinguishing e-bikes and e-motos in California
Senate Bill 1167 aimed to mostly clarify what is not an e-bike under California law and what can be marketed as one in the state.

Sometimes we must remind ourselves that words still do, in fact have meanings.

The time is nigh for an amendment to the City Charter placing a cap on the number of downtown properties any one individual or entity can purchase. Else we are likely to end up with Florida Crockeral. And that’s guaranteed to be worse than North Oaks Crockeral.

With the acquisition of 375 Jackson St. and its adjoining property, 135 5th St. E., Florida-based investor Jamie Rand now owns four commercial office buildings in downtown St. Paul, all of them along 5th Street, spanning nearly three contiguous city blocks. www.twincities.com/2026/09/10/i...

It’s true (and for heat pump heating as well). But don’t expect Xcel to cooperate with your request quickly or willingly!

MN PEOPLE!!
Do you have Xcel?
Do you also use baseboard heating or resistive heating?

you can get your $/kWh reduced by HALF all winter.

no really. you just have to call them

I truly appreciate the work @ag.state.mn.us office is doing on my behalf. I filed a complaint with them after trying for 5 mos to get Xcel energy to apply the appropriate electric-heating rate to my residential account. This is their *third* letter demanding a response to both themselves and me.
Letter on official OAG letterhead, from the Mediator, Consumer Action Division, to Mr Tommy Gallegos, Manager, Customer Advocates, Xcel Energy, with body reading: Dear Mr. Gallegos: This is the third time this Office is sending Xcel Energy a letter regarding the concerns we received from Dr. Brian Martinson. To date, we have not received any response from Xcel Energy. This matter deserves the courtesy of a response, and this Office expects that a company that does business in Minnesota will respond to concerns raised by Minnesota citizens in a timely fashion. I enclose a copy of our initial correspondence for your review. I ask that you please direct your immediate attention to this matter and respond to me within five business days of this letter. If you have any questions, please contact me immediately. I should note that this Office does maintain files regarding consumer complaints, and our files will reflect your response or any failure to respond. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

Minnesota. Tell everyone to hand deliver ballots or vote in person. Trump is doing his level best to cheat for the GOP ghouls.

Trumps MOFO puppets pulled it off, the PO will only deliver mail ballots only in states that shared voter data with the federal agency.
Trump doesn't want us to vote. In '16 he said: "If voting was easy and convenient the GOP would never win another election".
